ABC Looking for bachelors

Attention Baltimore bachelors: ABC is looking for you.

The network plans to hold in June an open casting call in Baltimore for season 17 of “The Bachelor”.

Local affiliate WMAR-TV ABC2 officials said the station is looking for a bar, hotel, or other location to hold the casting calls.

Andrew Kinkead, director of sales at ABC2, said the station was just notified of the casting call and the right location should be centrally located and have ample parking. The network always encourages "both guys and girls to apply."

“I would think it would certainly get traffic,” Kinkead said of the Baltimore casting call.

Kinkead said if the right location is not identified there’s always the possibility the casting call would not take place.

ABC plans to hold the casting calls in various cities but have not yet announced the locations, other than New York. All applicants must be at least 21 at the time of the auditions.

The Bachelor, a popular reality dating show, debuted in 2002.

Applicants "must not currently be involved in a committed intimate relationship, which includes: any marital relationship (whether or not the parties are separated or currently in the process of divorcing or annulling such marriage); any co-habitation relationship involving physical intimacy; or a monogamous dating relationship more than two months in duration," according to ABC's website.

Applicants also must never have been convicted of a felony.
