Oklahoma casting call for upcoming movie draws 4,292

TULSA— Nearly 4,300 people answered the casting call for a movie based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, “August: Osage County.”

The 4,292 people who stood in line at the Tulsa Promenade mall on Saturday were vying for a spot as an extra in the film, which will feature Oscar-winning actresses Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts.

Edmond resident Suzi Watson was the 1,000th person to be evaluated. She told the Tulsa World she put her odds of being picked at about 1,000 to 1.

The beloved actor, whose last full-time small-screen gig was Spin City in 2000, is returning to TV in a sitcom for NBC, the network confirmed in a press release.

But wait, it gets even better! The network is so confident in Fox's show that they already ordered 22 episodes, bypassing the standard pilot process.

Hilary Duff Returning to TV!

Actress Hilary Duff announced on Twitter today that she has closed a deal to star and produce in an upcoming television series.

"Ok it's official! Very excited about my development deal with 20th century fox!! t.v. here I come! :)," she tweeted.

According to Deadline, Duff has signed a talent and development deal which requires the studio to develop a half-hour comedy vehicle for her, but if for whatever reason the project falls through, the studio can cast her in another comedy or drama series.

It's basically a win/win for Hilary.

The Hunger Games star is reportedly getting an extremely large raise for her role as Katniss Everdeen in Catching Fire. And when we say big—we mean millions.

Lawrence, who received $500,000 for the first flick from the franchise along with bonuses, is in the final stages of negotiating a deal to earn somewhere near—wait for it—$10 million for the second installment, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

PALM SPRINGS — Hundreds of fun seekers, Liberace fans and actors came to the Palm Springs Convention Center on Sunday for a chance to be an extra in the upcoming Liberace TV biopic, “Behind the Candelabra.”

Up at 5 this morning for the drive to Huntsville with her grandmother, Allison was at the head of the line for an open casting call in Huntsville for the movie, "Space Warriors." The movie, to be directed by Sean McNamara, director of "Soul Surfer," is about Space Camp trainees who take action when danger erupts on the International Space Station.
